Cylinder Adjustment
Your stool's cylinder has been pre-adjusted. If you find the stool is dropping too easily or not easily enough, follow the steps below to adjust. You will need a 1/4" driver, a 3/8" socket (1/4" drive), and a flathead screwdriver.
- Remove the stool backrest and turn stool upside down.
- Loosen the nut (a few turns) at the center of the cylinder base.
- If the stool is dropping too easily, turn the screw a one and a half turn counterclockwise (clockwise if it is not dropping easily enough).
- Set stool upright and test. Repeat until properly adjusted.
- Snug the adjustment bolt.
For a typical adjustment starting point: Turn the screw clockwise until the cylinder just begins to extend. (Exercise caution, if you turn too quickly, the cylinder will extend rapidly.) From there, turn the screw back (counterclockwise) a half turn and check adjustment.
